Local Shoalhaven charity Salt came to us with a fundraising idea to help tackle growing needs of youth at risk in the region. 'I Said Yes' was envisaged as a means to try to communicate to the public the impact that small but consistent donations can have on breaking the cycle of disadvantage and help young people thrive in their communities.
We were challenged to make the design as engaging as possible and to make it very easy for people to donate.
First the branding was created to echo the circular design and colour palette of the Salt sub-brands we have created in the past, but with a twist to capture the enthusiasm and personal commitment the campaign aims to inspire in its audience. Key campaign messaging was developed to "Change the story of a local's life" and videos developed to communicate and show people what the campaign was about and why they should donate. We worked closely with Salt and their chosen videographer, assisting with the script, shoot organisation and post-production support.
The design of the website brought the branding and videos together with large typography and animation effects to convey the story and guide people towards donating. Quick, intuitive donation functionality was incorporated directly into the website enabling people to give a one-off contribution or a regularly contribution every week or month.
Campaign flyers, banners and t-shirts have also been designed to support offline fundraising efforts.
