Our Process

Step 01

Brief

We discuss your business objectives, brand and what your customers need to get out of the item that we'll be designing for you. If you have seen something you like as an example, now is the time to show us! A consideration for printed items will be your production budget – we will want to create something with impact, but which doesn't cost too much to produce.

Step 02

Gather Inputs

Getting a hold of the text and photographs comes next. Our clients usually provide these items to our graphic designers to work with. However, if you don't have these, or would like to level it up, we can arrange for professional photography and/or a copywriter to make your business present itself perfectly.

Step 03

Design Concept

Our graphic artists will design a draft of a few key elements as a draft. If it's a brochure, this may be one layout and a cover, for example. Because we try hard to get a clear brief, we'll get the draft quite close to something you'll love.

Step 04

Refine

The design team will incorporate any feedback you have from the draft into the final version. All final text and photography will be incorporated before it is supplied back to you for a last check.

Step 05

Final Production

The final version of the item will be produced so that it is ready for print (if it is to be sent to a printer) which includes all proper printers' marks, colourspace adjustments and die-lines if they are required. We'll supply you with a digital file that's ready to go.

Frequently Asked Questions

The length of the design process will be influenced by how many pages or how complicated it is to create your brochure. If we have to do any custom illustrations or diagrams and whether your photos need a lot of retouching. But as a rough guide, it may take a day for a trifold brochure. Or it could take longer for a booklet.

Typically, the lengthiest items in the process are receiving text and images, reviewing the draft and providing feedback.

Yes, we can and have designed many awesome product packages. We like to collaborate with you and your packaging supplier to create a design that works.

If you have not considered what packaging will work best for your product, we're probably not the right partner to talk to about that and we recommend you work with a packaging company to determine what form your packaging should take.

Generally, after you've approved a concept, you'll get one more shot at providing us with feedback. We are pretty flexible about further changes that are minor. However, if you have multiple rounds of feedback to provide us, then we may need to charge for the additional time to make those changes.

No, we don't typically provide you with working files, only the finished artwork files. But, if that's something you really want, we're prepared to discuss it.
