The Challenge

The brainchild of thought leader Mary Moran, The Milking Stool is an event concept aiming to explore and celebrate difference in an increasingly polarised world. 

Taking the form of a series of events with three interesting guest speakers on one particular topic, the venture needed a brand and a website to present their upcoming events, manage ticketing and attract a high calibre of speaker.

The Solution

The brand we created brings together the concept of the three different speakers with the dairy farming location of Kangaroo Valley in which the events are held through the motif of the three-legged milking stool. A linocut style brings in rustic texture, but when combined with a black and white colour palette and modern sans serif font, delivers a contemporary brand befitting the innovative nature of these events.

The website centred on the customisation and integration of full-featured event management and ticketing software, enabling the organisers to easily add and update upcoming event details. Showcasing the food and wine producers that would be featured at the events was also important, as was a News & Press section for articles relating to the event topics, media interviews and updates.
